Sampler is worked in silk on canvas ground, in a variety of stitches. Colors are light green, blue, gold, pale orange and magenta. Alphabet A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-17.
Verse reads 'Count what more sweet and fairer then a flower yet it blooms faids within an hour'. 'Remember well the sabath day profane it not by idle play but keep it holy while you live that GOD may you all blessing give.'

No border, divider lines in various patterns. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case, numbers 1-20 and in multiples of 10 up to 100.
